At Six Gun Outdoors, I strive to bring Texas rural life to those who have never been blessed by it: And to those who thank God they are living it.

My name is Brice West and I live in Abilene, TX with my wife Cindy, son Brennen, and daughter Cadie. I was born and raised in Hereford, Texas: The beef capitol of the world. Whether it was working cattle in blizzard conditions or hunting coyotes for the local ranchers, the Texas Panhandle made me who I am today.
As a boy, I always dreamed of becoming a hunting guide. My dream became a reality in the winter of 2008. I had the opportunity to guide for one season before moving to Abilene in the spring of 2009. Once I headed South to the Big Country, most of my hunting opportunities were left back in the Panhandle.
With a fire still burning for the outdoors, I started competing in the Big Country Bass Club. After one season with surprising success, I began to daydream of trophy whitetails while bass fishing. I knew at that point my true outdoor calling was the whitetail woods.
With very limited access for hunting, I began to pursue whitetail and ranch photography. Since that time, I have had the opportunity to photograph on some of Texas' largest and most historic ranches. Throughout my travels, I have gained access to thousands of acres of prime whitetail and predator hunting.
What you won't find in my images are fancy editing and exotic locations. What you will find are images of a land where game fences don't exist and things are done the old fashioned way. I hope you can take a step back in time and enjoy Texas as it was meant to be.
